The RMS Bands are directed by Mr. Boyer; assistant directors are Mr. Kubly and Mr. Deniston. The band program is very active, performing at four major concerts a year. The RMS Band has received Gold ratings at the ISSMA Concert Band Contest for the last decade and have achieved 90% gold ratings at their solo and ensemble contest. In March 2010, the RMS 7th/8th grade band was awarded the “With Distinction” award for their exceptional performance at their ISSMA contest.

Students may opt to be involved in the RMS Jazz Band which meets every Friday. Currently, there are approx 135 members in the band, grades 6-8.

The RMS Band provides a private lesson program to both offer students the ability to challenge themselves further.
